2022 has been quite a year for us at Ray Cochrane Beauty Aesthetics Academy. With many new courses, achievements and events, it’s been a year for the records.
Earlier this year, we wrote about the increasing demand for aesthetic courses. Compared to just 3 years ago, when the vast majority of our intakes were for our Beauty Therapy courses, we now see a demand for aesthetic training. This growing market reflects the current industry trends, with aesthetic treatments more popular every day. The increasing popularity of aesthetic treatments such as fillers, skin needling and skin peeling is due to many reasons.
Firstly, aesthetic treatments are now more affordable and easily accessible. Secondly, as phone cameras get higher resolutions, little things such as skin texture or scarring become more visible on social media platforms. Finally, men are taking advantage of the decreasing stigma surrounding aesthetic treatments for males and targeting insecurities, such as excess hair growth.

Changing our Name to Ray Cochrane Beauty Aesthetics Academy
Having been operating as a beauty training academy since 1954, it is inevitable that changes will happen. Ray Cochrane Beauty Aesthetic Academy was the first beauty school in the UK to offer the prestigious CIDESCO/CIBTAC training. However, we’ve recently replaced the CIBTAC course with the ITEC Beauty Therapy course, and moved our CIDESCO courses to our sister school, The London School of Beauty & Make-Up. This decision was not an easy one to make. Due to the increased interest in our aesthetic courses, we’ve decided to free up our experienced aesthetics-trained educators to focus on delivering globally renowned advanced aesthetic training. Just another example in which we’ve dedicated ourselves over the years to keep up with the beauty industry’s trends.
So, we have decided at Ray Cochrane, to reflect the direction in which our enquiries and intakes have taken, to update our school’s name to Ray Cochrane Beauty Aesthetics Academy.
As a Beauty & Aesthetics training provider, we want a name that will reflect our services to those looking for an academy.
