The VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy Award and Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Award Combined Course at our Beauty Aesthetics Academy in London is a fully accredited and government recognised beauty qualification focusing solely on teaching students facials and facial electrotherapy machines as well as Anatomy & Physiology.
And here’s the best part:
The Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology course alone is valued at over £300, but we’re giving it to you at no additional cost when you enrol in this combined course, helping you save your hard earned money.
This course is also a suitable foundation for learners who want to become advanced aestheticians, as it is a recognised prerequisite for our Level 4 Micro Needling, Level 4 Chemical Skin Peels, and Level 4 Plasma Pen courses.
On the Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy Award Course, you will expand on their ability to provide facial and skincare treatments that they would have learned in the VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skin Care course, which is also a prerequisite for this course. Additionally, they will build their knowledge in providing facials using electrical machines.
On the Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Award Course, you will also gain an in-depth understanding of the main body systems, and their associated structure and function.
The electrical facial machines covered in the Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy unit include Galvanic, High Frequency, Microcurrent, EMS, and Lymph Drainage. These machines provide clients with increased facial definition, faster collagen generation, healthier skin, and reduced puffiness. You will master all of these techniques during our course.
You will also learn the theory behind facial electrotherapy treatments and machines. In theoretical learning, you will discover:
• Electrical currents and how they are implemented as facial treatments.
• How to correctly store and take care of facial electrical machines.
• The theory that includes the study of electrical currents and equipment.
• Storage and care of equipment.
• Contraindications to facial electrical treatments.
• Safety precautions.
• Psychological effects of the treatments.
The Anatomical and Physiological Knowledge Of Body Systems unit will allow you to gain knowledge of the anatomical structure and the physiological function of the body systems; integumentary, skeletal, cardiovascular, lymphatic, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory and digestive systems.
• You need to complete VTCT Level 2 Facial Skincare or Level 2 Beauty Therapy before the VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy Award + Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Combined Course.
• Students must be aged 18 and over and speak and understand English at a level that is sufficient to participate in the course.
• If you have any relevant work experience in the beauty industry, we’re open to considering your application.
• If you are unsure whether your qualification meets our entry requirements, don’t hesitate to contact us.

An "award" is a valuable qualification that provides focused and specific knowledge or skills in a particular area. Typically completed within a few days to a few weeks, awards are perfect for those looking to gain foundational insights quickly and efficiently. They are ideal for enhancing your skills in a targeted subject and can often serve as a stepping stone to more advanced study. On the other hand, a "certificate" offers a more comprehensive and in-depth exploration of a subject area, usually spanning a few weeks to several months. Certificates cover a broader range of topics and provide a thorough understanding and practical skills, making them suitable for those aiming for extensive expertise. Both awards and certificates are crucial in their own right. Awards are excellent for quick upskilling and gaining specific knowledge, making them an ideal choice for professionals looking to add niche skills to their repertoire. Certificates, with their broader and deeper curriculum, are perfect for individuals seeking a comprehensive understanding and a solid foundation in their field. Neither qualification is inherently better than the other; they serve different purposes and cater to different educational needs. Both play a significant role in professional development, ensuring learners can choose the path that best suits their career goals and learning preferences.
