This comprehensive course integrates the VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare course with the VTCT Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy course. As of 2024 at Ray Cochrane Academy, we have included the Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology Award at no extra cost to offer our students a seamless learning journey.
Key areas of study include:
Facial Treatments – Master the entire professional facial routine from skin analysis to cleansing to massage.
Facial Electrotherapy – Incorporate advanced treatments like high frequency, microcurrent, EMS, and lymph drainage for enhanced skin rejuvenation.
Anatomy & Physiology – Gain an in-depth understanding of the whole body’s systems, including the integumentary, skeletal, cardiovascular, lymphatic, and more.
Students will combine practical skills learnt on live models with advanced skin theory. This course equips students to treat various skin concerns, such as decreased facial definition, slower collagen production, and puffiness.
To obtain VTCT Level 2 & 3 Skincare and Facial Electrotherapy qualifications + VTCT Level 3 Award in Anatomy & Physiology, you will need to complete the following units:

What are the entry requirements?
• Open to all, regardless of prior experience.
• You do not need to have any other VTCT qualifications. This course is thoughtfully designed for both newcomers and seasoned pros.

What is our class size?
Our class size is small, with a maximum of 14 students per class. This allows for individual attention and support from our experienced tutors during practical assessments.
What qualifications will I get after this course?Once successfully completed, you will have gained 2 VTCT qualifications: Level 2 Facial & Skincare Award and Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy Certificate.
What can I do after the combined Level 2 and 3 facials and skin course?You may also use this as a stepping stone to various aesthetics training programs such as Level 4 Microneedling, Level 4 Laser & IPL, Level 4 Plasma Pen and Level 4 Chemical Skin Peeling.
How will I be assessed during the facials and skin care combi course?Assessment is continuous and consists of practical assessments, oral questions, tests, and written assignments. You will provide evidence to determine whether you have reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. The collation of the assessments will be contained in a portfolio which will contain all document feedback sheets and written assessments/projects/assignments.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. The teacher Miglena was incredibly knowledgeable and broke the theory of laser and IPL down into what any of the group needed to be able to understand.
Miglena was incredibly kind and patient and is the most wonderful teacher, the group I was in was beyond supportive to one another, I couldn't have asked for more.
The course is in depth and provides the knowledge you need to work as a laser technician, it has certainly filled in the blanks that I needed to do my job.
