I completed my Level 2 & 3 (Facial Electrotherapy), as well as my Level 4 (Microneedling & Chemical Peel) courses at Ray Cochrane, and I am very happy with the overall experience. Overall an amazing school with the most knowledgeable teacher I've come across in all my courses - Eleonora. Eleonora truly is a gem, extremely patient, kind and able to answer every question.
Missing 5th star as school definitely needs new space as school is very outdated, not very well kept, crowded with items, often missing such simple things as hand soap etc. Having said that, if I would choose to continue my learning, I would go for Ray Cochrane again.

I had a Level 2-3 skin care and electrotherapy with teacher Pembe Hassan. She was amazing lovely, funny, knowledgeable and supportive. Even after I’ve done the course she still help me out through some questions.
We send our therapists to Ray Cochrane for advanced laser & IPL training: we find their instruction to be detailed and professional, and they have been able to arrange bespoke courses tailored to our requirements. I completed my level 2 and 3 in nails and my level 3 in beauty therapy. I can not recommend Ray Cochrane enough. I am now going to complete my level 4 courses and looking forward to being back. I recently completed the levels 2 & 3 Nail Technician course with Ray Cochrane in June 2023 at Canary Wharf. My teacher Arjana was AMAZING! her knowledge, experience and techniques are excellent. I've been a model for students' practical training for some time now and I am so impressed with their quality standards! First of all the instructor (Meglena) is amazing! She's knowledgeable, experienced, thorough with unbelievable attention to detail. I can easily trust her with my face and body and I'm a very peaky client. In her hands and in hands of her students I feel safe. All students are guided at every little step of their learning journey. She's always there for them, showing them the way, supporting, giving valuable information and assessing their knowledge. The clinic is equipped with latest machines and they use their best devices for training purposes which is a pure admiration. Apart from that every student is equipped with ever changing PPE and they use high quality expensive skin products. The school provides it all and they invest so much into offering the best working environment to their students. I completed Level 4 in laser and IPL at Ray Cochrane a few years ago and 3 of my laser therapists have just finished their Level 4 courses. The training is gold standard and the tutors are knowledgable, friendly and experienced. We love the fact that they use Alma Soprano laser machines which we have in our clinic, and the Alma IPL Harmony skin treatment machine As one of the longest established beauty academies in the UK I wouldn’t send my therapists anywhere else!!
I cannot say how grateful I am for this school, especially for two amazing tutors: Maria in facial level 2 and Carmen in level 3. From reception and all the staff involved, everything went smooth and they all make sure you have the best knowledge when completing your course.

I recently completed my Level 3 Beauty Therapy course with Ray Cochrane (Baker Street) we had a very supportive course Tutor, Korrin Johnson she was very informative throughout the course and helped us during our time studying. There were various elements to the Beauty Therapy course, it was useful to record videos to be able to look back on. Korrin also helped us with any questions we had on practical work experience and was always there to guide and answer any questions we had.
I did not attend a course myself but spoke to the admin team on numerous occasions and I cannot begin to explain how helpful, understanding and supportive they were. I would 100% recommend Ray Cochrane Beauty School to anyone wanting to further their education - what a fabulous place and a fabulous team!
I have just finished the VTCT level 4 in laser hair reduction and IPL skin rejuvenation. The school was in a easy to get to area, with plenty of local food places to feed myself. The training was intensive, but Miglena has a very good way of explaining things and is really knowledge and approachable. We had the most up to date equipment to practice with and they had organised models for us to practice on ( this often isn't the case I've found with courses). Lastly the girls in the office were very helpful and friendly if I needed any help with anything. Highly recommend.
I made my level 3 beauty therapy in this school and I was very pleased with our teacher Korrin. She was very open to give a lot of knowledge, very diplomatic and patient, caring and attentive. The school location is very convenient, the course was informative and I enjoyed Sunday attendance as it allowed me to work during the week. The interior rooms are quiet simple but they had everything needed for the course.
Being a student for level 4 ( Laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation) also for level 4 ( Chemical peel and Microneedling) was the best experienced ever. I have just completed Level 4 Chemical Peel & Micro needling recently, it was a great experience and I also got to meet some wonderful ladies. The school offers great level of support and communication, helps you to get through the course. VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Peeling (chemical peels) is an advanced qualification that has been designed uniquely for level 3 qualified beauty therapists or medical experts who want to add advanced aesthetic treatments to their treatment offerings.
This course is offered by attending part of our Level 4 Chemical Peels and Microneedling Combination course, which combined our best sellers VTCT Level 4 Chemical Skin Peel with VTCT Level 4 Microneedling to create the ideal aesthetics training program.
The Level 4 chemical peels course will not only teach you how to correctly complete skin peeling treatments. Students will also learn the science behind the procedure to develop all the skills required to carry out skin peeling treatments safely.
In the course, students will learn how to use various chemicals for skin peelings, such as
- Glycolic acid
- Salicylic Acid
- Kojic acid
- And more
Compared to other chemical peel training providers, Ray Cochrane will be using aesthetic industry-leading skincare brand TOSKANI products for training. TOSKANI is a laboratory from Barcelona with 30 years of pharmaceutical experience creating injectables, mesotherapy, cosmetic, and chemical peeling products. Many other beauty schools, use stock products, but at Ray Cochrane, we want students to work with the highest quality products.
Upon completing the Level 4 Chemical Peeling course, you will reach a very high level of competence at performing chemical skin peeling treatments safely and professionally.
To obtain the VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Chemical Peeling, you need to learn the following 4 units
- Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
- Provide skin peeling treatments
What Will You Learn from the Chemical Peel Course?
In the Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies unit, training will include: the how-tos of client consultation – explaining procedures, contraindications, and patch testing. Students will learn how to give Post-treatment advice – the need for SPF & UVA sun protectors, preventing infection, and additional treatment plans.
The Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies unit will focus on the core science behind chemical peels – the whys, the hows, and when. Students will also learn health and safety elements that cover preparing the working area, sterilising equipment, and the correct disposal of equipment.
Advanced skincare for non-medical aesthetic therapies will cover the various acids used in chemical peels – the pH, percentages, and application process.
Finally, in the Providing Skin Peeling unit, we will teach you how to treat a range of skin concerns including acne, dehydrated skin, dull skin tones, enlarged skin pores, fine lines, wrinkles & hyperpigmentation.

How will I be assessed for a chemical skin peeling course?
You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence including an assignment and 6 case studies at the Academy and pass the external practical examination.

What is the structure of the VTCT Level 4 chemical peel course?
The course is 12 weeks long and includes 6 days of onsite theory and practical training. School attendance is one day per week on every Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. Onsite theory lessons take place in Weeks 1-2, onsite practical training in Weeks 3-5 and 11, home learning and assignment in Weeks 6-10, and external practical examination and written test at the school in Week 12.
