The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Fibroblast Plasma Pen Course is a beauty aesthetic qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add Plasma Pen Techniques to their repertoire of treatment offerings.
This qualification encompasses all the necessary components to become a fully qualified Plasma Pen practitioner and is based on national and international standards for aesthetic beauty.
Fibroblast Skin Tightening is a soft surgery method and a revolutionary technique for perfect facial rejuvenation. A Plasma Pen operates on electricity, which is converted to gaseous diatomic nitrogen (N2). This energised gas is applied to the area of treatment, which is used as an abrasive on a micro level to the epidermal layer of skin (the top or outermost layers) and also heats and stimulates the deeper layers.
Fibroblasting is the process via which a Plasma Pen operates. Although the word “blasting” may suggest something strong or scary, the phrase “fibroblast” really refers to a common type of cell found in the connective tissue of your body: fibroblasts. Collagen is produced by fibroblasts, and by inducing this collagen production, the Plasma Pen therapy can target:
• Ageing skin
• Scarring
• Pigmentation
• Wrinkles and fine lines
• Sun-damaged skin
• Dull or uneven skin tone
• Moles,Warts, Skin Tags, Red Spots Removal
• Enlarged pores
While the Plasma Pen cannot completely halt the aging process, the results are long-lasting and a natural, less invasive alternative to Botox. New lines and wrinkles that appear on patients after an initial treatment process should only require a quick revision.
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for plasma pen techniques. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice. We will delve into how to use Plasma Pen for:
• Reduction of fine lines
• Blepharoplasty – eyelid lift (upper and lower)
• Improvement of stretchmarks
• Improvement of pigmentation variations
• Improvement of skin texture
• Skin tag removal (with GP permission)
• Removal of Dermatosis papulosa nigra (with GP permission)
• Learners are required to hold a Level 3 qualification in beauty therapy, an access to aesthetics qualification, or an equivalent. Other acceptable qualifications include Level 2 facial, Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology, and health and safety.
• Students must be aged 18 and over and speak and understand English at a level that is sufficient to participate in the course.
• If you have any relevant work experience in the beauty industry, we’re open to considering your application. If you are unsure if your qualification meets the requirements, don’t hesitate to ask us.
